A view of the office end of the workshop, showing from right to left: some cello patterns, the recent  and brilliant painting, by the wonderful Cathy Kingcome, of the bench,( and myself looking a bit wistful), some recent violins and two violas above the desk, and on the end wall a poster of the Kreisler del Gesu, some black and white photos of the 1726 Saveuse Stradivari cello I took c.1982, and two views of the Baron Heath del Gesu, taken some 25 years apart.

Cathy's website is http://www.catherinekingcome.co.uk

Here are some more images of the Baron Heath
including three of its extraordinary and lovely scroll.

  1. The Cremona violin, crafted in the Italian town of Cremona, is renowned for its exceptional quality and rich tonal characteristics. Dating back to the 16th century, these violins were made by master luthiers like Antonio Stradivari and Giuseppe Guarneri, whose instruments are highly sought after by musicians and collectors alike. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in each Cremona violin contribute to its beautiful sound and aesthetic appeal. Owning a Cremona violin is not just about possessing a musical instrument; it represents a piece of history and an embodiment of artistic excellence.
