This is the varnished and finished new Paolo Testore model viola from the last blog. The very beautiful and rare back is from Romanian maple. This wood is very resonant in use, ideal viola wood in fact.
The viola has a very full and strong sound especially on the C and the A strings.

I am now starting the third of this excellent small model viola.

We are having a Workshop Open Day on Sunday May 27th 2012. Please come along! As usual, the cakes will be superb, and free, with excellent tea or coffee!
