This is picture of my latest violins . On the left is Guarneri model violin, 352 mm. back, and on the right is the little quarter size violin made for George Gower with a 281 mm back.

The wood on the back of the larger violin is a piece of  slab cut wood with a deep and very beautiful
figure. I have kept this wood for over 25 years waiting for the right time to use it. The front wood is Swiss of the best quality. The fiddle has a very transparent and reflective varnish, and a large range and depth of sound. It is currently available.
Here are some more pictures of the instrument.  It will be exhibited at the Birmingham Conservatoire this weekend at the Cecil Aronowitz International Viola Competition, along with my violas and a cello, and it will be available for trial.

This next violin is ready for varnishing, and should be ready for its new owner in about a month. It has a slab back with fine grained Swiss front.
