 These are photos of my latest violin, no, 92.  The violin has had the ground coats applied, and is here waiting for the outer varnish. It will be finished in an "antiqued" style. The back and sides are deeply figured Romanian Maple, and the very fine top is Swiss Spruce.

The violin is based on the late Guarneri del Gesu violin, the "Sainton". The original is dated either 1741 or 1743. I think it is more likely the later date; it is quite roughly made, very worn, and sounds wonderful. It simply oozes character and class, and is somewhat beyond my price range.......
